The Activity

Members of the team from Cross Tay Link Road (CTLR) project set up a stall at a careers fair held at Breadalbane Academy in Aberfeldy. This was open to all pupils within the school, plus pupils from Pitlochry Primary and High Schools. There was also an early evening session held to enable parents to explore career opportunities, ask questions about the project and meet some of the team delivering it.

The Result

It is estimated that around 900 pupils attended the fair, many of whom visited the CTLR project stall. Questions were asked by both pupils and parents. The day also gave those who participated an opportunity to meet representatives from other local businesses and discuss potential joint ventures. Since the event, BAM have agreed with Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) to do mock interviews helping pupils prepare for real job interviews.

The Cross Tay Link Road is Phase Two of the Perth Transport Futures project, which will deliver a more efficient and better-connected transport system and a cleaner city centre environment.
