Two major milestones were reached on the project this week with the opening of the Bertha Park link road from Inveralmond, and the southbound diverge slip road from the A9.
Members of the site team attended a visit to the steel fabricators and paint shop to check on the progress of the the new footbridge over the A9. Two sections of the bridge ramps have just left the paint shop with the third and fourth sections due for painting this week. Fabrication of the main span truss is still ongoing but nearing completion.
On site, works to form the combined footway and cycleway on the west connector road are ongoing along with public utility installation works.
Construction of the SUDS pond by the Crematorium is continuing.
The concrete bases for the new footbridge over the A9 were poured this week.
Work has also commenced to form the road on the Ruthvenfield Link section between Inveralmond and the A9 bridge.
