Work has continued this week constructing the steelwork for S04 culvert with the reinforcement bars for the walls of the culvert being lifted into place.
Lane closures have been put in place on the A9 between Inveralmond and Broxden to allow sheet pilling to be installed in the central reserve, in preparation for work to commence on culvert S05 next week. The sheet pilling is necessary to allow the culvert to be constructed in two halves and maintain traffic on the opposite carriageway.
Elsewhere, earthworks fill has commenced to the line of the new road to the east of Ruthvenfield. The approximate layout of the new roundabout on the west side of Ruthevenfield Road can now be seen.
Work is also underway to the area to the north of the Crieff Road, installing the fill material that will form the new junction.
