What’s happening on site 01-06-18

Surfacing works were completed on the new A85 east tie in this week which has allowed the removal of the temporary traffic signals in this area a week earlier than originally programmed. Works in this area are now focusing on construction of the loop road.

Base and binder course surfacing works have also been ongoing on the new West Connector road this week with around 1,100 tonne of surfacing material laid in one day.

Surfacing works have also been completed on the upgraded section of National Cycle Route 77 path by the River Almond.

Members of the site team has a visit to the steelwork fabricators this week to view the progress of the new footbridge over the A9. A trial assembly of the east ramp is currently taking place in the workshop with works ongoing fabricating the main span and west ramp.

Type 1, kerbing, utility duct installation and traffic signal infrastructure works have been taking place at the junction to the east of S01 structure this week.

Road marking works have been completed on the new Bertha Park roundabout and link road.
